Quota Distribution for Male and Female Participants
In the first phase of the scheme, a total of 1,000 electric bikes have been allocated. Among these, 700 electric bikes are assigned to male students, while the remaining 300 are allocated to female students. Similarly, in the initial phase, 19,000 petrol bikes have been distributed. Out of this total, 11,676 have been designated for male students, while 7,324 have been reserved for female students.
The distribution of these bikes will cater to students enrolled in universities and graduate colleges located in five cities: Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Bahawalpur. Eligibility for e-bikes extends to students from provinces or territories outside Punjab only if they are enrolled in any graduate college or university within the specified five cities. However, considering the population distribution outlined in the 2023 census, the allocation of petrol bikes will occur on a district-wise basis across Punjab.
